Monarchs girls hockey

The Minnesota Monarchs is Tier 1 Girls hockey's elite program. The Monarchs start at the 14U age level. Girls are identified through tryouts, scouting games and contacting families with the help of their associations. Because the program is elite, most of the girls, though not all, have played on some form of select team in MN or WI.

Tryouts
Our tryouts are open to any and all girls in the appropriate age level. Tryouts will be held every fall to roster our Tier 1 teams for the following spring and summer. When a girl participates in our tryouts she may be selected for a Monarchs team or a Tier 1 team.

Once a player makes one of our Monarchs teams she is in the program until she ages out or chooses to leave. That means that we do not always have openings for every Monarch team.

The 2025 AAA season we will have roster spots open at every level of our Monarchs program, however spots are limited.

Location
We skate primarily out of TCO Sports Garden in Vadnais Heights.

Off Ice Training
Dryland training is held in the TCO fieldhouse, which is connected to the rinks at TCO.

register

This year our 14u tryouts will be held on 9/8. The tryout fee will be $30. Click on the appropriate age level to be taken to the registration. Any questions please email, Tier1GirlsHockey@gmail.com.
